Anne Burrell

Anne W. Burrell has been a chef, television presenter in the US as well as an instructor at the Institute of Culinary Education. She's the host of Secrets of a Restaurant Chef on the Food Network and the co-host of Worst Cooks in America. Her signature spiky blonde hair and her pumped-up appearance, Anne Burrell eliminates the intimidation of dining out, and provides simple, easy-to-learn techniques for home cooks in her Food Network series Secrets of a Restaurant Chef. Chef Burrell has worked and studied in the best New York restaurants. He also battled Iron Chef America and the food scene of Italy. While growing up in Upstate New York, Chef Burrell developed a passion for cooking and food in her early years. The Culinary Institute of America has sparked her interest in the management of restaurants after she graduated with the English and Communications degree from Canisius College Buffalo NY. The Culinary Institute of America was an unforgettable experience for me. Culinary Institute of America was a great opportunity to pursue a degree. Following graduation of the Italian Culinary Institute for Foreigners, chef Burrell was able to spend a whole year in Italy studying and working at La Taverna del Lupo restaurant located in Umbria as well as La Bottega del 30 one Michelin rating in Tuscany. During her time in Italy she came to appreciate and understand the philosophies behind Italian cuisine and culture which left a lasting impact from a culinary perspective. Burrell is a well-known ambassador of the Juvenile Diabetic Research Foundation and was a part of the Garden of Dreams Foundation Advisory Board, which helps children with obstacles. She has been a frequent presenter at conferences, and she travels the country as part of her mentorship role. Anne often has mentioned throughout her culinary career that she feels so fortunate to be able share with others what is most important for her.
