Avery Sunshine

Avery Sunshine combines R&B, soul gospel, and jazz into the style that is his own. The singer's career has taken her from Broadway to European festivals and clubs and even to her participation in the Democratic National Convention. Sunshine's given name is Denise White. She is now a resident of Atlanta she was born in Chester Pennsylvania. Her musical journey began in the church where she sang and played piano. Her music career started in Atlanta in Spellman College. The Fighting Temptations The first single featuring her voice was Stalk You which was a house 12-inch released exclusively in Japan; it has been remixed since by many producers and remains the mainstay in her live show. She has also contributed her vocals on The Fighting Temptations' soundtrack. She was named the principal keyboardist for Tyler Perry's play Meet the Browns in 2005. Jennifer Holliday, a Grammy- as well as Tony Award winning vocalist who has worked on stage production Dreamgirls during the National Black Arts Festival of Atlanta in 2007, contacted her to be the director of the choral group for the production. Sunshine was the subject of national media attention due to her four daily performances during the Democratic National Convention in 2008. She was invited to perform at the inauguration of President Obama in 2009.
